Tastefully furnished I bedroom ground floor flat with private entrance. Situated in a typically French enclosed and gated courtyard within the area of Bastide St Louis. Only 2 minutes walk from Place Carnot with restaurants and shops and a bustling twice weekly market. You enter the flat through a solid wood door into the entrance hall/dining room. On the left, you enter into the compact, fully fitted kitchen. (Fridge, freezer, cooker and hob, dishwasher, washing machine, electric kettle and microwave.) Through the kitchen you enter into a small internal hallway with the separate toilet to the left and the bathroom to the right (bath with shower over and hand wash basin). Straight ahead is the double bedroom with a mahogany sleigh bed with two bedside cabinets, oak wardrobe and marble topped dressing table. Through the dining area, to the right, you enter the sitting room which is furnished with a double sofa bed and antique furniture. There is a small electric corner fireplace. There is a television (for French TV) a DVD/cassette player and a radio/CD /cassette player. Outside, in front of the flat, there is a small, pretty, garden area where you can sit and relax, with a glass of the local wine, on those lovely sunny days. There is a secure, parking place. (A huge advantage and difficult to find in the city centre.) There is a regular shuttle bus to and from the station to the airport which takes aprox 20 mins-cost 5 Euros. 5 mins walk from the station and Canal du Midi. 15-20 mins walk to the Medieval City of Carcassonne and the river Aude. | |||||||||||||||||||
