Alet les Bains is 35km south of Carcassonne; a sought-after medieval village with a lot of charm and character.

The house dates from the 18th century, deceivingly smaller from the outside, the total sqm is approximately 550sqm+ (needs verifying!). It has original features such as fireplaces, exposed stone walls, original tomette (red) tiles.

Five double bedrooms over three floors, three largest of which are approximately 5x4m, with the facility to put in open fireplaces in two of those bedrooms; although the top floor needs modernising. Comfortable & sizeable living areas with an open fireplace in the current kitchen. A large utility room with a cellar/wood store between the garage/barn.

A second kitchen & sitting room/office opens out onto one of the three terraces; from which the three storey barn/garage can also be accessed from the first floor.

The barn/garage has a surface area of approx 40sqm and has two floors above ready for renovation into further accommodation/office space.

Gas central heating, new boiler recently installed.

The house is too big for the current owner who wishes to downsize.
