Laval itself is a quiet hamlet with approximately 200 inhabitants and is surrounded on all sides by gorgeous walks. Quillan is only a 5 minute drive, which is a lovely French town with all amenities - including restaurants, supermarkets, markets, a cinema, outdoor swimming pool and theatre. Quillan is 40km from Carcassonne and 50km from Perpignan, which both have airports. There's also swimming at nearby rivers and lakes and we're an hour from the sea.
