Esperaza is graced with three little food stores - the Huit à Huit, le Petit Casino and Verdie et Fils, so you won't have to drive miles to get supplies - though there is no doubt it is cheaper to stock up in an out of town supermarket of which there are two, Intermarché and Champion, close by. There is a butchers, Chez Charlies: 2 bakers; 4 hairdressers and 2 tabacs finally a richly stocked Sunday market for anything else. Esperaza has 3 cafés, one of which, Le Café de La Gare, is turning itself into a great little place to eat; plus a cabin affair that whips up a mean pizza or steak sandwiche on the doorstep of the Dinosaur Museum, It's called the TyRex Naturally. There's a marvellous creperie , but, sadly they're often closed for the winter. There are many places nearby to eat - some quite fabulous - non ruinous.
