The hamlet of Laval is 5 minutes from Quillan, a traditional market town in the foothills of the Pyrenees. Quillan has all the necessary amenities and two supermarkets with a market on both Wednesday and Saturday. Quillan also has a cinema, theatre and outdoor swimming pool.
Hameau de Laval is also close to Esperaza which has a craft market on Sundays. Limoux a large market town famous for it's Blanquette, similar to champagne and foi gras is only 20 minute away. The ancient walled city of Carcassonne is 40 km away with it's airport, golf course and tourist attractions including the city itself.
